Kash’d Out Releases “Being Easy” Music Video ft. Howi Spangler of Ballyhoo!

Byline: Allie Adams

At first I was so hype on this song because it’s a really chill melody and easy to listen to (no pun intended), much like the rest of their debut full-length album, The Hookup. The music video was directed by Brendan Carolin, Scott Trippler of East Coast Reggae and Keith Zacharski of In The Barrel Photo and features Howi Spangler from Ballyhoo!. As I peeped it this morning I realized part of the picture show was filmed in Ocean Beach, CA and a few other San Diego beach towns, which is home for me and significant portion of the reggae world. It is endlessly gratifying to see your hood represented in such an creative, artful way and my affection for the project grew ten-fold.

The rest of the no-worries beach vibes were shot in Cocoa Beach, FL and spotlights the ultra-custom, ultra-funky Lowlife Bikes. Seriously, you could watch the video strictly for the sake of these custom lowriders the boys ride along the beach, they are THAT cool. The video is beautifully edited, the content is engaging and the music is so choice. Please, do yourselves a favor and dig next summer’s favorite banger.
