Krooked Treez

The Southern California based Reggae Hip-Hop Rock Kingpins Krooked Treez have been named “Breakout Artist of The Year” by the genre’s fans, which was held by the reggae-rock leading magazine, The Pier. They’ve quickly gained momentum from an ever-growing fan-base, as their debut CD “Higher Place” released in mid 2013.

The band rocked three full houses at House of Blues on Sunset Strip, and rode the buzz of a successful 2013 appearance on the 311 Cruise, performing with acts like 311, Less Than Jake, Rebelution and comedian Tom Green. They also headlined at the 2013 U.S. Grand Prix Kick-Off Party to the Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca Red Bull U.S. Grand Prix, as well as had their first international performance in the Black Sea at Russia’s famed Kubana Festival for an audience of nearly 200,000, sharing the stage with System of a Down, Misfits and Wutang. In 2014, Krooked Treez came out with a bang, taking to main-stage at the California Roots Music and Arts Festival, SouthPark Music Festival, Shoreline Jam, Summer Meltdown, Unity Festival, Arizona Music Festival and again at the Kubana Festival in Russia, all with mixed with major acts as 311, Dirty Heads, Matisyahu, Slightly Stoopid, Korn, Collie Buddz, Ziggy and Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, Steel Pulse, Pepper, System of Down, WuTang, Katchafire, SOJA and Iration. Krooked Treez can be best described as a hybrid fusion of Red Hot Chili Peppers meets Cypress Hill on an island oasis.

The band is comprised of the B-Real produced and mentored emcee O.Brown, who worked with Cypress Hill for many years as their protégé and also joined the band on many festivals. Recently, the smooth lead vocalist addition, Moi Juarez, who is best known from Tomorrow’s Bad Seed’s joined one of his favorite band’s Krooked Treez to meld O’Brown’s hard knock life party-rocking lyricism with his soulful patois and sinister smooth vocals. Guitarist and California original Bobby Zen is on bass; with East Coast native Stephen Lashbrook as Treez reggae percussionist; guitarist extraordinaire Brenden Denton, drummer Alex Ludga and keyboardist Paul Monico all tighten the band with their rich sounds that are boasted with years of experience amongst its members.

Their high-energy stage performance and unique sound are creating a diverse and plentiful fan-base.
